Not much to create your own recipe. I think I have the skills to do so, but simply do not have the time, especially not the slow cooker (not in terms of one, after all, who have so much to do, see, experience, do not want to use a longer longer than is necessary in the kitchen?). Oo so messed up feelings of fear, I ordered this book. Frankly, it was a shock so that more than $ 25, so that the S & H is free. Imagine my delight and surprise when I found the actual recipes inside, no meat or vegetables and canned soups, pour-over. In particular, I like the recipe for Tamale pie with cornbread topping of cheese and cover. As with all slow cooker, a special flavor to obtain a high direct heat is lacking, but most of these recipes is a juicy, things stewy delicious combination of flavors. Best of all, which is associated with nutritional analysis, which allows encryption for the Weight Watchers points. I noticed that one of the things I miss living alone most opens the door to the house after work and the smell – What? – Wax the furniture? trash something went wrong? This book, and my slow cooker, allow me to open the door to a delicious dinner I know I enjoy the aroma. Buy it, you’ll like it.

Here is a Cooking Light 57 essential recipes slow cooking. Like other cookbooks slow cooking, this policy covers: appetizers, desserts, main dishes, etc.

layout is unusual: a clean two pages of a recipe, a photo of a page colors. Another nice feature (especially the cook is not very familiar with certain ingredients or techniques) have shown the substance or technology, e. g. water bath, kitchen scissors, vinegar, rice wine, etc.

So far, having tried and proven to be very convenient, easy to produce and less comfortable for dinner: Turkey Thights olives and dried cherries, Pesto Lasagna with spinach and mushrooms, chicken with figs and lemons, Fudgy Caramel Pudding Cake, Thai-style pork stew.

This is not intended as a comprehensive collection of slow cooker, but a handful of crops, where suppliers are selected to be “essential” recipes slow cooker.

nice to have in your collection.

I have tried several recipes in this book, because I like to use slow cooker. I still have to say that the “perfect” recipe that can be reproduced exactly as written for the results fabulous. Like many of the recipes of the magazine have to modify to suit your tastes. For example, the recipe for potato soup and ‘easy and produced a creamy soup (not as good as a baked potato from Cooking Light Soup – but I used vegetable broth has a strong aftertaste. Next time I will use the broth chicken. What I always liked the recipes of the paper, which can go to the site and check out the experiences of other players’ in the recipe and read what’s changed and why. I have not found these to their home page, so these recipes are in uncharted territory. I do not think this will be my favorite book slow cooker, but I plan to use it – so I go and change.

I just bought a new crockpot with the idea of meals together, which would be ready when I got home from work. I was happy to find this book, we hope to combine comfort and light meals healthier than usually found in traditional recipes crock pot.

So far I have tried some recipes that are delicious. However, I hope that the title crockpot stuffing out of the door was a bit ‘naive, because they tried to be all the minimum required time of 30-60 minutes’ preparation. That’s why I checked my processes and have begun to prepare meals for the weekend of heating and is serving the first half of the week. Another option would be to measure and chop the whole evening, the composition of the next morning. There is no doubt that these recipes are complex and difficult – it is simply that when I last used a crock-pot, recipes in my repertoire was quite limited and confined only to the present, and some of the ingredients are very simple. An example is a boneless pork chops that have crockpot and toss them in butter and cream of mushroom on it. Not exactly a gourmet price, but does not get much easier and very tasty, believe it or not.

Most of the recipes are 6 people, and only two of us, I freeze the remaining two plates are enjoying the second time. Most of the ingredients are those that are easily found at the supermarket or even a pantry nothing exotic or expensive. Crock-pot the size of the state all the recipes I’ve found so far is 3 or 4 Quart. I recently replaced my crock-pot model Hamilton Beach, which is available in 3 different size pieces Quart – 2, 4 and 6 – which has been found to give much more flexibility and maybe even double recipes.

For those who want to watch the bottom line, the book provides a count of calories per serving, fat, protein, carbohydrates, cholesterol, fiber, iron, sodium and calcium in each recipe , which contains an outline – such as rice or pasta – that serve the show with the main course. < , / br>
we’re pretty big eaters, and the sad truth is that what some consider recipes employs about half of what they really eat. So far, we have found the role that they have declared to be employed will be sufficient. Knowing how many servings of each dish will be provided to help the control, which is our downfall.
I enjoyed the results of a cookbook and I enjoy trying different recipes and with most of the work just before cleaning up after.

Each recipe takes the whole page and is accompanied by a full-page image, so the book is very nice, but there is very little compared to the standard recipes for a cookbook. Recipes, and rely too specialized, processed products, which I am one, should not be on hand in your kitchen. Another downside is that most of these apparently healthy recipes are very high in sodium, which makes them acceptable to me. I returned this book.
