Ingredients:

* Mushrooms 4, nos.

* Green Beans 100 GMS.

* Onion 1 no.

* Capsicum 1 no.

* Slices of chicken cooked to 500 GMS.

* Carrots 100 GMS.

* ¼ of a liter of chicken broth.

* ½ teaspoon of sugar.

* ¼ cup of soy sauce.

* Crushed garlic flakes, 4 nos.

* Corn flour 1 ½ tsp.

* 2 tablespoons dry sherry.

* 2 tablespoons of oil.

Instructions:

Place pan with soy sauce and crushed garlic cloves. Bring to boil and boil for 2 minutes for the sauce of garlic and keep aside. Soak mushrooms in warm water for 20 minutes, drain, rinse, discard stems and cut the mushrooms into slices.

Cut the onions, green beans, peppers, carrots, mushrooms and drop in boiling water and cook for 5 minutes, then drain. Heat oil in a pan and add the chicken and the vegetables and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add stock, sugar, garlic sauce, salt and pepper and bring to a boil, stirring all the time.

Keep a couple of minutes over low heat, mix the corn flour and sherry and add the sauce mixture. Bring to boil and stir until the sauce thickens and serve hot. Steaming heats the vegetable and softens the texture. It ’softer than the boiling point and let the vegetables retain their color, if it is not an exaggeration. Use a steamer in stainless steel, which is best suited to a good sized sauce pans. Make sure the pot you are using a hermetic seal.
