Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken breast halves, with skin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¾ cup Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Rub each chicken breast with the olive oil to lightly coat. This helps lock in moisture and ensures crispier skin while baking.
  • Arrange the chicken breasts in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish, making sure they have enough space to cook evenly.
  • Dust the chicken with a pinch of garlic powder, and season generously with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Pour the Worcestershire sauce over each chicken breast, ensuring every piece is coated for maximum flavor.
  • Tightly cover the dish with aluminum foil to retain moisture and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Uncover the dish, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the skin is golden and the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove from the oven, let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes, and serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

Being from the South, I serve this with garlic cheese grits! (Note: For a slight variation in taste, you can use lemon-flavored oil.
